Job Summary
Lead advanced financial analysis for public sector clients by managing renewal analyses across medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, and disability programs. Evaluate claims experience, utilization trends, and financial performance to identify risks and develop strategic recommendations for long-term benefits planning. Execute Request for Proposal processes, compare carrier proposals, and support negotiations while delivering advanced financial and management reporting to client leadership. Translate complex regulatory requirements and data into actionable insights, mentor junior Analysts on modeling standards, and collaborate with consultants and vendors to optimize client benefit programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, analytics, brokerage, or consulting
- Advanced experience with: Renewal and financial analysis
- Advanced experience with: Claims and utilization reporting
- Advanced experience with: RFP development and carrier evaluations
- Strong knowledge of: Fully insured and self‐funded benefit plans
- Strong knowledge of: Employee benefits regulations (ACA, COBRA, etc.)
- Active State issued 2-15 License
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities
- Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with large datasets
- Ability to independently manage priorities and deadlines
- Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
