Job Summary
Conduct emergency medicine coverage including complex surgeries, critical cases, and diagnostic imaging using advanced technology like digital radiography and ultrasound. Manage shift leadership and support newer graduates through mentoring while maintaining a collaborative, tight-knit team culture. Work rotating weekend rosters and overnight shifts with a thoughtfully managed schedule designed to reduce fatigue. Deliver high-quality patient care with positivity and professionalism, supported by experienced colleagues and access to ongoing education and specialist connections.
Required Qualifications
- Holds (or can obtain) registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland
- Is comfortable with overnight shifts and a rotating weekend roster
- Can step into a shift leadership role if required
- Works well in a collaborative, tight-knit team
- Brings experience in ECC - or has at least 5 years in general practice and a strong interest in transitioning into emergency
