Job Summary
Senior Emergency Management Planners: Response Cadre provide on-site support to state and local government agencies during disasters, deploying to Emergency Operations Center (EOC) sites or field environments to advise on managing response. Serve as advisor in the Planning Section using the Incident Command System (ICS), coordinate with partner agencies and Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) on high-level planning, research and produce reports for client leadership, provide admin support and assist with logistics and operations coordination, develop plans and procedures, and mentor junior staff while deployed. Requires on-call travel within 24–72 hours and deployment of at least 30 days anywhere in the United States; Bachelor’s Degree or higher; strong written/spoken communication; proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to work 12-hour shifts; compensation $80,000–$115,000 plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of professional experience in emergency management or related field
- Willing and able to be on-call for travel within 24 to 72 hours of notice and remain deployed for at least 30 days anywhere in the United States
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- The ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed based on the client’s operational tempo
