Job Summary

Conduct EMI/EMC testing and analysis on electronic systems and components while driving product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification activities. Develop design strategies to mitigate EMI/EMC issues and prepare test plans, reports, and documentation for compliance verification against standards such as MIL-STD-461G, FCC, and CISPR. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EMC requirements during the design phase and identify program risks through modeling, simulation, or experimental activities. Perform field tests to evaluate product performance in real-world environments and manage multiple concurrent projects using simulation tools like ANSYS and CST Microwave Studio. Requires a DoD Secret Clearance and 7+ years of experience in E3 design and testing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in EMI/EMC design and testing
  • Familiarity with EMC/EMI standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464D, RTCA DOD-160, FCC, IEC, CISPR, SAE)
  • Proven expertise in E3 design, analysis, testing and mitigation strategies
  • Specialized in HERO, HEMP, Lightning Protection, ESD, RF exposure limits and operational electromagnetic compatibility
  • Proficiency in using EMI/EMC testing equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, antennas, LISN etc.)
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, CST Microwave Studio) for EMI analysis
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving EMI/EMC issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Full understanding of PCB Layout techniques to meet mechanical, electrical, EMI/EMC, and manufacturing requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply best practices appropriate for each design
  • Familiarity with standard interfaces such as MIPI, DP, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
