Job Summary
Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer for Xbox accessories and gaming hardware. You will design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware, including device drivers, peripheral drivers, and hardware interfaces, in RTOS environments. Collaborate across firmware, electrical, OS, and validation teams to bring electronics from concept to production. Responsibilities include prototyping, proof-of-concept development, implementation, testing, and release; developing sensor processing and power management functionalities; creating supporting tools and test applications; performing code reviews; integrating third-party components; troubleshooting complex cross-domain issues spanning hardware, firmware, drivers, OS, and supporting software; and ensuring high-quality solutions delivered on schedule. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, 8-10 years of embedded firmware experience, strong C/C++ skills, experience with device drivers and hardware interfaces, RTOS/FreeRTOS experience, and proven collaboration and communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8-10 years of professional embedded firmware engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in C and C++
- Extensive experience writing and debugging embedded firmware
- Experience developing embedded device drivers and hardware interfaces
- Experience with embedded RTOS or FreeRTOS environments
- Experience supporting consumer electronics products throughout the development lifecycle
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and unit testing experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering disciplines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
