Job Summary
Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer responsible for planning and development of firmware and embedded systems, including implementation of completed designs. Candidates will work with embedded environments such as AVR/SAM families, RTOS and Linux, and may involve FPGA (Spartan), VHDL/Verilog, hardware interfaces, system integration, and documentation of test results. Duties include developing test plans, testing, documenting results, and mentoring associate engineers and interns. Role is on-site at our home office in Newburgh, IN with occasional field testing; requires collaboration across hardware interfaces and installation software, and may involve mining-industry applications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in computer science or electrical engineering
- 7+ years’ experience developing with C/C++
- Experience with AVR Family and SAM Family
- FPGA (Spartan Family) Experience preferred but not required
- VHDL and Verilog
- Linux, RTOS, Windows Experience
- System architecture design and analysis
- Mining application experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Mentoring of associate engineers and interns
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to represent the company as a prime technical contact
