Job Summary
Design resilient, distributed Elixir services that ingest, process, and visualize live maritime telemetry for sovereign land border surveillance systems. Build scalable APIs, develop interactive LiveView interfaces, and architect fault-tolerant OTP solutions handling geospatial data from thousands of global assets. Shape technical strategy across the platform by refining deployment models, improving observability, and optimizing developer tooling. Work in a hybrid capacity between the Bristol office and remote settings to influence the evolution of SRT's next-generation web technology foundation.
Required Qualifications
- Elixir and OTP
- Phoenix and LiveView
- Designing distributed systems
- Building APIs and backend services
- Distributed relational and/or OLAP databases
- Containerised applications and modern deployment practices
- Cloud and on-premises platforms
- Designing maintainable software that evolves over time
- Performance profiling
- Experience with geospatial systems, MapLibre or PostGIS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with geospatial systems, MapLibre or PostGIS would be highly advantageous, but isn't essential
