Senior Electronics Technician

Job Summary
Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuits, assemblies, and systems used in products to meet schedule. Interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams to build and debug electronic assemblies, while modifying prototype circuit boards and wiring harnesses to correct functional deficiencies. Support prototype builds, engineering development, and new product introduction activities including pilot builds and design validation. Document test procedures and build processes using approved systems, then provide feedback to engineering on design improvements and manufacturability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design and test issues while maintaining organized electronic components and test equipment. Maintain ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and safety procedures. Occasional travel up to 20% for testing and validation activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
- Technical certification in electronics (IPC, soldering, or equivalent)
- Experience with prototypes or new product development
- Experience with PCB assembly, soldering (SMT and through-hole), and use of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
- Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Proficient in soldering, rework, and assembly of electronic circuits and components
- Experience troubleshooting at the component and system level
- Familiarity with lab equipment and diagnostic tools used in electronics testing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced development environments and shifting priorities
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for working with small electronic assemblies
