Job Summary

Senior Electronics Engineer I to own end-to-end design of electronics modules for space/defense applications. Responsibilities include leading digital and mixed-signal RF electronics design (phased array control circuitry), circuits with FPGAs, processors, microcontrollers, and software-defined radios; detailed schematic design and PCB layout in Altium for HDI/high-speed boards; performing worst-case, signal integrity, and power integrity analyses; developing bring-up and design verification plans; coordinating bring-up and validation with technicians; releasing modules to production; mentoring junior engineers; and leveraging adjacent software/mechanical knowledge to streamline development. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, at least 4 years of related experience, direct experience with high-reliability space/defense electronics, and excellent written/spoken communication. Initially remote with planned transition to in-person work in Florida; candidate must meet U.S. citizenship/eligibility requirements per export regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 4 years of industry or university research experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and test.
  • Direct experience designing high-reliability electronics for space or defense applications, including part derating, worst-case analysis, and thermal constraints.
  • Experience owning the design phase of circuits or boards, including trade studies, key part selection, and detailed design.
  • Experience delivering subcircuit or board designs to production and deployment.
  • Experience performing complex PCB layout, such as high-density interconnect (HDI) and high-speed digital or power electronics.
  • Experience running board-level signal integrity and/or power integrity simulation tools such as Ansys SIwave, ADS SIPro, or Mentor Hyperlynx.
  • Working knowledge of adjacent fields, such as software and mechanical.
  • Proficiency in electronics design tools such as Altium.
