Job Summary
Senior Electronics Engineer leads electronics design within a cross-disciplinary team to develop rugged, next-generation smart protection devices. Responsibilities include system design, PCB/PCBA schematic capture and layout, prototype assembly and testing, collaboration with mechanical and software teams, defining PCB form factors, BOMs and ICDs, managing outsource PCBA manufacturing, and mentoring junior engineers. Requires deep experience with high-speed digital signals (MIPI, LVDS), embedded power supplies/PMICs, fine-pitch soldering, and SolidWorks-based mechanical integration. On-site role located in Portsmouth, NH.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering technology, computer engineering technology, telecommunications technology or an equivalent. Masters Degree as a plus.
- At least 15 years of related work experience.
- Experience with high-speed digital signals (MIPI, LVDS).
- Experience with mobile processing technologies.
- Experience with embedded power supplies and PMICs
- Ability to solder and de-solder fine pitch components.
- Ability to cut and strap prototypes.
- Knowledge/experience with preparing product and engineering technical specifications and product performance test procedures or plans.
- Good working knowledge of communication circuits and protocols (e.g. I2C, Serial, etc.).
- Strong analytic problem-solving skills, using suitable tools.
- Ability to work with software to facilitate hardware testing.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Experience working with SolidWorks 3D CAD for mechanical design.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team; demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Strong organization and documentation skills.
