Job Summary

Lead the design of on and off-car harnesses, units, sensors, and assemblies while ensuring compliance with FIA, FOM, and supplier regulations. Drive specification of electronics systems for instrumentation and measurements, generate installation manuals, and proactively investigate faults to create mitigation solutions for sensors and electrical components. Monitor and lead improvements to installation design standards and operational processes, supporting pre-season car builds and test events. Engage in vehicle performance and reliability projects, directing the Mechanical Design Office on electrical solutions. Maintain calm and focus in high-pressure environments with extensive travel and irregular hours, including weekends and race days.

Required Qualifications

  • University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Multi-year experience of working in state-of-the art electronics engineering in a high-level technology development environment
  • high-level motorsport experience (e.g. Formula 1, WEC, etc.)
  • Highly experienced in the production of small batch/prototype analogue and digital circuits
  • Deep understanding of sensor technologies and the support electronics required
  • Proven track record of successful fault investigation, containment, and rectification
  • Solid computer knowledge
  • experience in Microsoft Office products
  • experience in CAD (e.g. Catia/3DX)
  • experience in PCB Design (e.g. Altium)
  • Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements
  • Comfortable with extensive travel and irregular working hours, including weekends and race days
  • Completion of all mandatory compliance training (including health and safety, data protection, and role-specific regulatory training)

Desired Qualifications

  • high-level motorsport experience (e.g. Formula 1, WEC, etc.)
  • Knowledge of embedded system programming (e.g. C)
  • high-level software languages (e.g. C#/VBA)
