Job Summary
Senior Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer responsible for designing mechanical assemblies and fixtures for PCBA and product-level test systems, integrating electromechanical designs into manufacturing test environments, mentoring technicians, and developing thermal solutions for RF systems while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to enable robust product testing and successful integration of electrical components into mechanical assemblies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of hands on mechanical engineering experience, designing for test and/or manufacturing
- Experience with sheet metal design, 3D printing and CNC machining
- Experience with contract manufacturers, in-house fabrication, and prototyping process
- Experience with PCBA test fixturing design
- Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as load cells, strain gauges, multimeters, etc.
- Strong root cause analysis skills
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiar with PLM (Teamcenter or equivalent)
- Proven track record of past designs integrating electrical components into mechanical assemblies
- Working knowledge and proper application of GD&T
- Experience with MCAD (NX, SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- PREFERRED: 7+ years, Master’s Degree, experience with thermal/vibration testing, active security clearance
- PREFERRED: experience with electrical test equipment
