Job Summary
Senior Electrician responsible for safely maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, consulting on, researching, and developing electrical process control instrumentation to optimize production efficiency under the Site Supervisor. Serves as a resource for multiple aggregate facilities, overseeing in-house electrical repairs and upgrades, including plant controls for mining operations, and coordinating work with engineering and vendors to meet deadlines on capital-improvement projects. Troubleshoots AC/DC motor controls, drives, and electrical wiring; investigates upgrades in automation to improve safety, efficiency, capacity, reliability, and reporting. Supports corporate safety culture and ensures compliance with safety policies; mentors and trains less-experienced staff in electrical repairs and safety procedures; travels from the quarry to other locations. Location: Doswell, VA (Richmond Area), hours 6AM-5PM, weekends as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Two year technical degree in electrical technology or completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- Certified/licensed Electrician (preferred)
- One year experience in aggregate/mining or similar industry (preferred)
- Experience with PLCs (preferred)
- Safety-conscious and dependable
- Ability to travel from the quarry to other locations
