Job Summary
Senior Electrical Test Technician responsible for setting up, executing, and analyzing test experiments, building test harnesses and environmental setups, updating test systems for automation and coverage, and performing component-level troubleshooting and repair of electrical/electronics systems. WillCalibrate and maintain test equipment, create assembly instructions and BOMs for test fixtures, document test plans/manuals, maintain a safe workspace, and travel to test sites and external labs as required. Qualifications include 4+ years across hardware/software/networking interfaces, 3+ years RF experience, soldering/cable-building skills, schematic literacy, experience with lab/test equipment, strong root-cause analysis, excellent communication, and eligibility for U.S. Secret clearance. Preferred: 5+ years, Associate degree, IPC/J-STD/IPC standards familiarity, RF test equipment proficiency, metrology/calibration, and lab management experience.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience working across hardware, software, and networking interfaces
- 3+ years of experience using, testing, or integrating RF systems
- Proficiency in soldering (through-hole and surface mount) and cable building/assembly
- Familiarity with reading electrical system and component schematics
- Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscope, function generators, data acquisition and measurement sensors
- Strong root cause analysis skills
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to pivot quickly between tasks and prioritize simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be eligible to obtain and hold a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. Person status is required
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs unassisted
- Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Technologies, or related fields
- J-STD-001 certifiied
- Familiarity with IPC Quality Standards, IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7721, J-STD and other assembly and inspection standards
- Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generator, power meters
- Experience with equipment calibration and metrology
- Experience with managing a lab environment
