Job Summary
Lead development and organization of electrical scopes during early project phases, confirming designs are complete, aligned with objectives, and feasible for construction. Work with cross-functional teams to support pursuits through scope development, design integration, budgeting, scheduling, procurement planning, and risk evaluation. Support value engineering initiatives, contribute to large and complex projects, and mentor team members while promoting consistency and process improvements within the electrical discipline. This hybrid role manages the preconstruction process from initial design through field transition for a nationwide Design-Build firm specializing in commercial and Department of Defense work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years in the electrical industry
- At least 5 years in a leadership role as an Electrical Project Manager or in Electrical Preconstruction
- Hands-on experience with software such as McCormick, Bluebeam Revu, Primavera P6, Autodesk Cloud, or comparable platforms
Desired Qualifications
- equivalent professional experience in lieu of formal education
- Additional training in project management, construction management, electrical trade school, BIM, or CADD
- Background in conceptual estimating and electrical system design, including telecommunications and data infrastructure
- Prior experience with design-build projects in government, military (DoD), or large-scale commercial environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
