Job Summary
Design and engineer 3-phase electrical power systems, including 480 VAC and medium-voltage applications, while developing and reviewing electrical design documents using AutoCAD Electrical. Perform conductor and raceway sizing per the National Electrical Code, specify power distribution equipment, and prepare bills of materials. Execute power system studies such as fault current analysis, evaluate vendor proposals, and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems. Serve as a technical point of contact for assigned projects, communicate with clients and vendors, and lead engineering efforts to ensure on-time, on-budget completion. Maintain compliance with industry standards and company safety policies in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in electrical engineering
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems promptly
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
- Strong computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs
- Excellent Communication skills; both oral and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Based programs
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly
- Must be able to stand/walk 90% of the time and sit 10% of the time
- Requires the ability to work from heights while utilizing the appropriate PPE for each situation
Desired Qualifications
- A candidate that is a registered Professional Engineering and has their license in Colorado
- Experience with engineering, manufacturing, and/or oil and gas environments
- AutoCAD drafting experience beyond a basic level
- Experience developing drawings for fabrication of wireway systems
- Experience using SKM, or ETAP electrical design and study software
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience
- AutoCAD Electrical (preferred)
