Job Summary
Create scaled drawings showing proposed installations relative to existing facilities and exact specifications for the Duane Arnold Energy Center. Apply computer-aided drafting skills in AutoCAD 3D or MicroStation while assisting experienced designers on walkdowns to gather project information. Explain drawings to vendors and contractors to facilitate necessary design adjustments. Work within a multi-disciplined team preparing design drawings based on input, potentially transitioning from remote to a three-day-in-office hybrid arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience
- 8+ years drafting/design experience using standard computer drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation)
- Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer
- Ability to multi-task from project to project

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans, drawings, and models
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design
