Senior Electrical Manager / Team Lead – Building Engineering (Open to Alberta Candidates | Relocation to Ontario)

Job Summary
Establish and lead the Electrical Engineering department, providing technical leadership on building systems projects from concept through construction. Oversee project schedules, budgets, quality, and client satisfaction while performing QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables. Design and review systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, emergency power, and life safety. Mentor engineers and designers, develop departmental standards, and coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients. Conduct occasional site visits during construction. Support business development and strengthen client relationships. This role is open to Alberta-based candidates relocating to the Greater Toronto Area, Kitchener-Waterloo, or Hamilton for a hybrid position within a multidisciplinary consulting firm.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- P.Eng. designation (Ontario) or eligibility to obtain it
- Minimum 10 years of Building Engineering consulting experience
- Proven experience delivering electrical building systems projects from design through construction
- Strong knowledge of: Ontario Building Code (OBC)
- Strong knowledge of: Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC)
- Strong knowledge of: Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Open to candidates currently based in Alberta who are interested in relocating to Ontario
