Job Summary
Senior Electrical Estimator responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. Interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents; perform accurate material and labor takeoffs using Trimble AccuBid. Solicit, analyze, and level vendor and subcontractor proposals; identify scope gaps, risk exposure, and value engineering opportunities. Support design-build and design-assist efforts with real-time pricing insights and constructability feedback. Collaborate closely with project managers, field leadership, and ownership to ensure smooth project transition from bid to execution.
Required Qualifications
- 3–8+ years of electrical estimating experience within a construction contractor environment (contractor-side required)
- Direct experience using Trimble AccuBid
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, NEC requirements, and construction methods
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and Microsoft Office; ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in an in-office, team-oriented environment (flexibility available once established)
