Job Summary
Senior Electrical Estimator with a strong background in industrial/construction estimating for chemical, pulp & paper, and heavy industrial sectors. Responsibilities include cost estimate support for industrial electrical projects, bid development and management, pre-bid reviews of specifications and drawings, bid-document organization, clarifications and exclusions, supplier pricing, unit-rate database maintenance, RFIs support, change order estimates, and client presentations. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction-specific software, and experience in pre-construction and estimating for commercial/industrial projects. Emphasis on budget control, accurate estimates, and collaborating with suppliers and on-site supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and construction-specific software.
- Experience in pre-construction and estimating on commercial/industrial construction projects is preferred.
- Ability to estimate all aspects of industrial construction projects, assemble them into one budget, and present to owners.
- Must be able to view projects from a construction business owner’s perspective.
- Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision.
