Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for full-cycle PCB design including requirements gathering, schematic design, component selection, layout supervision or completion, bring-up, test and integration with vehicle systems; design and verification of isolated DC/DC converters and SMPS; SI/PI analysis for high-speed data lines; simulate and test energetic dispersion topologies; collaborate with vehicle development teams to design, document, and produce tailored fuzing systems and interconnect harnesses; develop system interconnect diagrams; perform vendor surveys and design reviews; build and test system components in lab, ground, and flight tests; conduct root cause analysis; travel for testing up to 25%; requires BS+5 years in Electrical Engineering, proficiency with test equipment and CAD tools, familiarity with SerDes and high-speed power delivery, and eligibility for U.S. Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs
- Competence with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and test automation
- Familiarity with DC/DC conversion topologies and isolation
- Familiarity with Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, SerDes
- Familiarity with MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies
- Knowledge of SerDes and SI/PI
- Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics
- Experience with CAD tools (Altium preferred)
- Experience with design for signal/power integrity for high-speed loads
- Experience with high amperage harnessing and derating
- Testing experience including data acquisition and data analysis
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Ability to travel as required for testing (up to 25%)
- Passion for defending the United States and allies
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS include active DoD security clearance and 5-10 years of IC/board-level experience
