Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer role involves performing complex electrical engineering tasks related to the design of substation components, including layout and grounding grid design, ensuring compliance with applicable standards. Responsibilities include reviewing third-party designs, developing procurement packages, and incorporating advanced engineering techniques in electrical design. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, possess 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, and preferably have Engineer in Training Certification or PE. US citizenship is required, and the capacity to obtain a clearance is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for large capital projects
- Engineer in Training Certification; PE preferred
- Due to client requirements, US citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain a US government Secret/Top Secret clearance
- Experience working with Operations and project controls for purposes of reporting and proposal development
- Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Desired Qualifications
- Active US Government Secret/Top Secret Clearance
