Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary
Lead and oversee the electrical design of building systems projects from concept through construction completion, coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants to develop detailed documentation. Prepare engineering reports, technical specifications, and code analyses while managing project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. Perform lighting, power distribution, and low-voltage systems design, supervise construction administration activities including submittal reviews and site observations, and serve as the primary technical contact for clients and stakeholders. Mentor junior engineers and support professional development within the firm's multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with the ability to obtain reciprocity in additional states as needed
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience within the building design or consulting engineering industry
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and managing engineering teams
- Strong knowledge of electrical building systems, industry standards, and applicable building codes
- Proficiency with engineering calculation software and electrical equipment selection programs
- Experience utilizing AutoCAD and related design software
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating within multidisciplinary project teams
