Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer needed to lead a multi-disciplinary team on mining/mineral processing electrical design projects within EPCM environments. Responsibilities include leading a team of electrical engineers, designers and CAD personnel; providing technical leadership and mentorship; performing and checking calculations; preparing equipment specs and vendor drawings; developing detailed design, supply, construction and installation specifications; developing conceptual studies and proposals; ensuring effective communication within project teams and with client engineers; tracking project metrics; reporting to the Area Project Engineering Manager and Electrical Lead; and site visits to project sites and Hatch offices as required. Requires an engineering degree and PE licensure, 12+ years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of electrical design tools (SPEL, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, ASPEN), and strong communication and regulatory compliance skills.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- 12+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with SPEL, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, and ASPEN
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of industry, regulatory codes and standards
