Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for integrating electronic equipment on military and commercial aircraft and ground stations. Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels, and related items using CAD tools. Oversee the full lifecycle from requirements capture and analysis through design, testing, and production to meet requirements at minimum cost. Work on power distribution, electrical loads analysis, and load shedding schemes; support testing and integration on trainers. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other engineers; coordinate aircraft electrical mission equipment installations; identify and document design and integration risks; monitor installation milestones and report status to project management. Operate in a team environment with cross-functional input and participate in design reviews; ensure configurations align with vendor and OEM requirements. Be self-directed to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives with minimal oversight. This is an onsite role in the US (Binghamton, NY) within Collins Aerospace RTX.”,
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD) is required
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience with electrical design tools such as Visio, AutoCAD, Capital Harness, Catia
