Job Summary
Lead design, review, and stamping of detailed electrical power distribution and lighting system designs for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and high-tech industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with NEC, IBC, IFC, and NFPA guidelines. Develop coordinated design deliverables using Revit and AutoCAD, collaborate with all disciplines to synchronize infrastructure, and prepare comprehensive basis of design documents and technical specifications. Manage QA/QC workflows including peer reviews and site walkthroughs, interface with clients and vendors to respond to RFIs, and perform arc flash hazard analyses and short circuit calculations. Direct coordination of electrical drawings in Bluebeam and Navisworks, lead troubleshooting during commissioning, and mentor junior staff while participating in risk assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Active PE license in California
- Responsible charge of electrical design and stamping authority
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design, documentation, and BIM coordination at large and complex industrial project scale
- Demonstrated ability to interface with clients and contractors to define scope, lead technical discussions, and deliver electrical design solutions aligned to operational and safety requirements
- Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), International Building Code (IBC), International Fire Code (IFC), and relevant NFPA standards governing the design and installation of electrical systems in industrial facilities
- Demonstrated experience designing electrical power systems for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or high-tech industrial sectors
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior engineers or leading small project teams through complex electrical design challenges
Desired Qualifications
- Evidence of ability to obtain PE license by reciprocity within six months of hire
- Proven expertise with power distribution systems
