Job Summary
Design custom high speed digital electronics including ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, and communications drivers. Conduct analysis of analog circuits for low-noise signal conditioning and power amplifiers. Collaborate with peers to develop, review, and refine designs to meet program technical needs within defined time and budget constraints. Provide expertise to product development and R&D efforts while supporting electronics manufacturing and test activities. This role requires a Master's degree in electrical engineering with five years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with eight years of experience. The salary range is $100,500 - $153,250. Applicants must obtain and maintain a US security clearance and qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR. Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical engineering with 5 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience
- Experience in design, analysis, integration, and test of custom electronics
- Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools (such as Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, HyperLynx, and MS Office)
- Ability to conduct circuit analysis and simulation to optimize performance and reliability
- Understanding of space qualification standards and requirements
- Experience designing custom electronics for space products
- Experience designing to a defined requirements
- Experience with analysis necessary for high reliability space electronics hardware (Electrical stress analysis, worst case circuit analysis, and reliability analysis)
- Experience producing PCB layouts
- Experience and understanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
- Understanding of relevant IPC standards needed for electrical design and fabrication
- Experience developing and conducting testing of complex electronic sub-assemblies along with design of special test equipment (STE)
- Experience deriving sub-assembly requirements from higher-level, flowed down, system requirements and defining test methodologies
- Experience developing design & verification documentation (Interface Control Document/Drawings (ICD), Design Description Document (DDD), Test Plan, Test Procedures, Test Reports, etc.)
- Written and verbal communication skills necessary to present designs to internal and external stakeholders
- Able to complete assigned work within a defined timeline and budget
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
