Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer focusing on Battery Management Systems for autonomous vehicles, integrating sensor data and power electronics from concept through production. Responsibilities include design, test, and validation of BMS, vehicle-level integrations, full-cycle PCB design (requirements capture, schematic, layout, bring-up, test, debugging, and system integration), defining interconnects and wire harnesses, conducting peer reviews, engine component testing across lab, ground, and flight tests, and root-cause analysis to support field operations. Must bring experience in circuit and mixed-signal design, sensor integration, EMI testing, and common interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI); familiarity with Altium/Eagle CAD tools; ability to work within programs requiring MIL-STD-810/461 guidance and security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs
- Strong background in circuit design, including components, and mixed-signal design
- Experience with sensor integration
- Design experience in UAS, power electronics, converter design, or powertrain
- Competence with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, automation of tests)
- Familiarity with CAN, I2C, SPI
- Proficiency with Altium (or Eagle/others) for CAD
- Experience in EMI testing
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Preferred environmental/military testing experience
- Knowledge/MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461
