Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer to provide contract design lead support for electrical engineering designs and supporting documentation (design criteria, calculations, specifications). Responsibilities include identifying and resolving technical problems within the electrical discipline, leading projects with minimal oversight, and utilizing tools such as AutoCAD and ETAP. Experience with Motor Control Centers, Switchgear, MV/LV equipment, and protective relaying is preferred. Travel to Mesa Associates office in Chattanooga and to customer sites for in-person meetings and site inspections; position is remote with applicants residing within ~4 hours of Chattanooga, TN.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited college or university
- 10-15 years of progressive electrical engineering experience
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical problems in electrical engineering
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, ETAP a plus
- Experience with Motor Control Centers, Switchboards, Switchgear, Low/Medium Voltage equipment, protective relaying preferred
- Ability to lead projects with minimal oversight
