Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for the design of electrical distribution and lighting systems for new facilities, additions, and renovations. Lead the creation of construction drawings and specifications, conduct existing system condition studies, and collaborate with clients, project teams, code officials, and contractors to address electrical issues. Projects span higher education, commercial, hospitality, municipal, and institutional facilities. Requires experience designing to NEC/IECC, managing projects from conceptual design to completion, and proficiency with AutoCAD/REVIT. Candidate should demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and self-starting capabilities; a Professional Engineer license is required; travel anticipated (~10%).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various facilities
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT (a plus)
- Ability to perform basic electrical engineering calculations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership ability and entrepreneurial spirit
- Self-starter that requires little direction to get moving on a project
- Travel: 10%
