Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer on Bechtel’s Reduced Status program (16–30 hours per week) based in Gurugram, India. The role focuses on electrical design, project coordination, and leadership within infrastructure, power, oil & gas, and mining & metals projects. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating engineering work, supervising engineers/drafters, conducting performance reviews, developing discipline estimates and work plans, staffing planning, client coordination for approvals, reviewing key electrical drawings and calculations, and ensuring compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget. Requires a recognized bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical engineering, extensive knowledge of ETAP and electrical design practices, experience with 3D modeling and model reviews, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- A recognized bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical engineering, from an accredited college or university
- overall experience of minimum 13 years
- Extensive knowledge of electrical system studies using ETAP software
- experience with short circuit, load flow, motor starting & voltage drop calculations
- experience with single line diagrams, protection & metering diagrams, relay setting & protection coordination
- experience with design reviews of electrical equipment (switchyard, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, MCCs, UPS)
- experience with 3D modeling tools (Revit, Navisworks) and model reviews at multiple milestones
- ability to prepare line diagrams, logic diagrams, and electrical layouts
- strong communication and leadership skills
- education and experience requirements for electrical engineering leadership
- site experience is advantageous
- vendor print reviews and technical bid evaluation
