Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer (Protections) will be responsible for the design management, implementation, quality assurance, and commissioning of electrical protection and control systems for New Build data centre projects, including handling relay settings, coordination, and arc flash studies. The role requires coordinating with internal stakeholders, contractors, and third-party vendors to ensure safe, reliable system operation and timely delivery, and involves documenting, reviewing designs, QA/QC, commissioning activities, and handover, with familiarity in ETAP/EasyPower/DigSilent and standards such as IEEE, NFPA 70E, and OSHA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in Protection Designs for overall electrical systems for data centre or critical infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical protection designs
- Familiar with industry standards and best practices such as IEEE, NFPA (NFPA 70E), and OSHA
- Familiar with design softwares such as ETAP, EasyPower, or DigSilent
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
