Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Systems responsible for leading complex electrical engineering projects from concept through delivery across industrial and energy infrastructure sectors (Oil & Gas, Renewables, Data Centers, Power Generation). Serve as technical lead, client partner, and mentor; design and deliver power system designs, controls drawings, engineering calculations, and project documentation; coordinate with utilities, vendors, and project teams; perform system studies and modeling using SKM/ETAP; ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, API, and AGA practices; contribute to proposals and business development; travel for site visits as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Direct experience in technical leadership
- Experience supporting industrial facilities
- Experience using SKM or ETAP
- Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, API and AGA recommended practices
- Knowledge of high, medium, and low voltage power systems
- Experience with protective relay schemes, arc flash analysis, switchgear, MCCs, drives, service entrance systems, and emergency power systems
- Substation design and relay programming (preferred)
- Field support during construction (preferred)
- Experience spanning project conception, design, commissioning, and startup
- Travel willingness (~10%)
- Strong client-facing and mentoring abilities
- Ability to lead and guide project teams
- Business development and proposal support
- Proficiency with engineering software and modeling tools like SKM/ETAP
