Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer focused on energy-side electrical design for fueling systems, oil & gas facilities, and energy infrastructure. Technical lead for projects across planning, design, and construction, mentoring junior staff and interfacing directly with clients. Responsibilities include leading electrical design for fuel terminals, LNG facilities, oil & gas midstream systems, and aviation fueling systems; developing and reviewing LV/MV power distribution, grounding, lighting, motor control, heat tracing, and standby power; performing hazard and coordination studies; ensuring design compliance with codes and client requirements; producing drawings, calculations, and narratives; coordinating with mechanical, civil, structural, and I&C disciplines; supporting controls/SCADA interfaces; reviewing vendor submittals; participating in design/constructability reviews; supporting RFIs, field verifications, and commissioning; providing technical guidance to CAD designers, mentoring engineers, and assisting with proposals and client presentations. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 10+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required or actively pursuing
- Strong knowledge of IEEE standards, API guidelines, NFPA 70 (NEC)
- Experience leading electrical design for fueling systems, oil & gas facilities, industrial plants, or energy infrastructure
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM and vendor software
- Experience preparing and reviewing electrical construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and narratives
- Ability to collaborate with Electrical CAD Designers and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience interfacing with clients, plant engineers, operators, and contractors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Lead and support electrical design for fuel terminals and aviation fueling systems
- Coordination with multiple disciplines to ensure constructability
- Support construction activities and client presentations
- Mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
