Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer role focused on data center design and commissioning. Responsible for designing electrical power systems for new data centers and expansions, including distribution, generators, UPS, PDUs, and switchgear. Lead electrical design activities, develop construction documents using AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP, and collaborate with trades and stakeholders. Manage projects, respond to RFIs and RFPs, and coordinate with project teams. Ensure compliance with NEC, life-safety, and energy-conservation codes; leverage LEED expertise when applicable. Requires 8-15 years of experience, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or similar, and preferred PE/EIT credentials. Strong communication and client-relations skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Location: Fayetteville, AR, USA (on-site).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering degree
- Licensed PE / EIT a Plus
- 8-15 years experience
- Experience working for MEP firms, an A/E firm
- Experience with design of electrical systems for data center and mission critical projects
- Experience with AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP; BIM a plus
- Knowledge of electrical systems including single/three phase power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding and life safety systems
- Knowledge of NEC, Life Safety and Energy Conservation Codes
- Proficient with design and calculation software; SKM Powertools, EDSA or ETAP desirable
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Military veteran experience is a plus
