Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for designing critical power systems for data centers and expansions, leading multidisciplinary electrical design teams, developing electrical distribution topologies, and creating construction documents using AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP. Role involves coordinating with management and clients, responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, leading the construction administration process, and ensuring energy-efficient, LEED-aligned design for enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale facilities. Requires deep knowledge of data center power systems, ability to size equipment (generators, UPS, PDUs, switchgear), and strong communication with trades and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- 8-15 years experience
- Experience designing electrical systems for data centers
- Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC) and life safety
- Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP
- Experience with electrical equipment design (Generators, UPS, PDUs, switchgear)
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Able to work independently
- Licensed PE / EIT a Plus
- Experience with BIM, SKM Powertools, ETAP desirable
- Military veteran experience a huge plus
