Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary
Design electrical systems, equipment, facilities, and components for industrial processes in LNG and natural gas projects from initial concept through commissioning. Develop engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, power distribution drawings, and equipment specifications while directing CAD designers and drafters. Review vendor quotations and technical submittals for compliance, lead factory acceptance testing, and interface with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical and control systems. Provide technical support during construction and plant startup, coordinate with contractors to resolve issues, and prepare cost estimates for project proposals. Typical travel averages 10% annually.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical power systems and power distribution systems
- Experience with low-voltage systems (up to 480V) and medium-voltage systems (up to 4160V)
- Proficiency with power system modeling and analysis software, preferably ETAP
- Ability to develop electrical equipment and installation cost estimates in support of project proposals
- Experience preparing bid packages, evaluating contractor proposals, and supporting contractor selection
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace), and applicable IEEE, ANSI, and industry standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university
- 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering, design, construction, commissioning, consulting, manufacturing, industrial facilities, energy, or related industries
- Experience designing and supporting low-voltage electrical power distribution systems, motor control centers, and related electrical equipment
- Strong working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards
- Typical travel is expected to average around 10% per year but varies by year
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and electrical installations in classified locations preferred but not required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain licensure within one year of hire
- Experience supporting projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup
- Field experience involving equipment installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, or contractor coordination
- Experience working in multidisciplinary project environments
