Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for researching, designing, developing, testing, and supervising electrical equipment and systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. Responsibilities include preparing technical drawings and specifications to meet installation and customer requirements, operating CAD/engineering software, coordinating cross-functional teams for manufacturing, installation and maintenance, ensuring compliance with codes and customer requirements, leading or coordinating projects to meet schedule and budget, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Requires deep knowledge of electrical distribution systems (13.2kV, 4160V, 480V), protective relaying, arc flash hazards, and industry standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE); experience with capital projects, lifecycle asset management, and cross-functional leadership; strong reporting, customer-facing professionalism, and adherence to company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering industry
- Experience with high voltage distribution systems (e.g., 13.2kV, 4160V, 480V)
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards
- Experience leading root cause investigations and asset lifecycle management
- Strong communication and client/vendor interaction skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred
- TWIC security clearance requirement
