Senior Electrical Engineer - MEP

Job Summary
Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for MEP projects, including HVAC design, electrical layouts, equipment schematics, and one-line diagrams. Review and develop design documents and reports while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across Kimley-Horn offices. Prepare project specifications, cost estimates, and proposals to support the growth of electrical engineering service areas. Coordinate with architects and other disciplines for equipment power needs and sizing electrical distribution. Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, and mentor team members. Operate with integrity, provide business planning and strategy, and build positive client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience managing Electrical projects
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
