Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Designer to lead the design and delivery of high-capacity electrical systems for data centers, guiding the technical lead role to ensure resilience, scalability, and integration with multidisciplinary teams. Responsible for power distribution design for high-availability facilities, development of detailed schematics and construction documents from design through construction administration, coordination with MEP peers and project managers, engineering analyses to optimize performance and energy efficiency, ensuring code and client requirements are met, mentoring junior engineers, managing deliverables across project lifecycles, and staying at the forefront of data center electrical infrastructure innovations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 8+ years of experience in electrical system design within a consulting engineering or building systems environment
- Proven track record designing heavy power distribution and building electrical systems for large-scale facilities
- Expert command of AutoCAD and standard electrical engineering analysis tools
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Preferred: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or clear path to licensure
- Preferred: Revit and BIM coordination for complex MEP systems
- Preferred: data center project or large-scale mission-critical infrastructure experience
- Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior staff
