Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer leading electrical design efforts for mission-critical facilities (data centers, AI/HPC environments) with hands-on technical design and leadership across multi-discipline projects. Responsibilities include client collaboration to understand technical needs and constraints, guiding design tradeoffs for performance and reliability, leading development of electrical deliverables (conceptual design, equipment selection, drawings, specifications, narratives), coordinating with mechanical/architectural/structural/civil/specialty disciplines, performing QA/QC reviews, supporting construction activities (RFI responses, submittal reviews, site visits), and mentoring junior engineers. Requires PE or on-track status, 6+ years in MEP consulting, and strong communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience in MEP consulting engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or higher)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or clearly on track to obtain PE within a defined timeframe
- Strong knowledge of building and infrastructure electrical systems, including Power distribution, Grounding and bonding, Protective device coordination principles, Code-driven design methodologies
- Proven experience leading electrical design on multi-discipline projects
- Strong technical and client-facing communication skills
- Ability to coordinate effectively with architects, contractors, owners, vendors, and internal teams
