Job Summary
Lead the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and public-sector facilities; develop power distribution, lighting, and building electrical system designs; prepare detailed electrical schematics, drawings, and construction documentation; coordinate closely with MEP teams, architects, and project managers; ensure electrical designs comply with industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements; conduct technical analysis and design reviews to identify and resolve system issues; support projects through schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration; provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers; stay current on advancements in electrical design technologies and incorporate best practices into project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design within building systems or consulting engineering environments
- Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, institutional, or public-sector facilities
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or other electrical design software
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
