Job Summary
Lead the design of power distribution, architectural lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for complex institutional environments (K-12 and healthcare facilities). Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, and protective device coordination while coordinating with architects and MEP teams to embed electrical systems in the broader building lifecycle. Oversee development of construction documents, site observations, and ensure regulatory compliance; mentor junior engineers and guide design standards across the firm. Preferred experience includes OSHPD/healthcare facilities or large-scale K-12 campuses and client-facing, construction-administration support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering or related field
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering for building systems
- Proficiency with Revit and electrical modeling/calculation tools
