Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects in the Justice + Civic sector, ensuring high-quality construction documents and alignment with project budgets and schedules. Responsibilities include developing business strategies, fostering client relationships, managing project execution, tracking milestones, and conducting technical reviews. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems design for justice facilities, particularly correctional facilities, and a strong background in building systems. The position requires collaboration with various professionals, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to quality work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- 15+ years of experience working as an engineer, including design of building systems related to Justice + Civic sector
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering knowledge
- Familiarity with facility operations and maintenance of building systems
- Working knowledge of the design and construction process
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills
- Understanding of business management and customer service principles
- Knowledge of local building and energy codes
- Demonstrated record of consistent quality work
- Ability to lead others and foster teamwork
- Knowledge and support of DLR Group’s climate action strategy
