Job Summary
Lead the Healthcare practice by designing and developing electrical systems holistically, translating concepts into final solutions for healthcare and research buildings. Coordinate schematic design and construction document phases while supervising field implementation, reviewing submittals, drawings, and calculations for accuracy. Ensure code compliance, system integration, and constructability by attending site visits to resolve unforeseen conditions and promoting efficient use of design software. Mentor less experienced staff and drive project direction within a multi-disciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent in education and experience required for professional licensure.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with current license OR ability to obtain PE.
- 10+ years of relevant experience with a wide variety of project types.
- Strong knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Experience in Arc Flash Studies utilizing software for simulations.
- Proficiency in Elum Tools or Visual Lighting Software and Easy Power.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Desired Qualifications
- Multiple state licensures.
- CSI-CDT certification.
- LEED AP BD+C and WELL AP certification.
- Membership at organizations such as American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE), Healthcare Engineering Alliance Society (HEALS), or similar and their local chapters.
- NCEES registration and NSPE membership.
- Track record of reporting and/or presenting at professional organizations conferences, publishing white-papers and demonstrating internal and external thought leadership.
