Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Industrial Control Panel Design to design PLC control panels, MCCs, VFD systems, and industrial automation solutions for manufacturing, food & beverage, chemical, and pharmaceutical clients. Lead projects from concept through startup, mentor junior engineers, and provide field installation support, startup assistance, and client interaction. Responsibilities include designing electrical control packages, PLC I/O schematics, panel layouts, bills of material, motor control circuits, MCC interfaces, VFD systems, three-line diagrams, cable schedules, conduit layouts, and applying NEC/NFPA/UL standards. Coordinate with clients and internal teams, prepare scopes of work, concepts, specifications, and cost estimates, and uphold safety and engineering best practices. Proficiency with NEC and industrial electrical design standards, strong client-facing communication, and willingness to travel are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEE/BSEET) from an ABET-accredited institution
- 5+ years of experience designing industrial control panels, MCCs, VFD systems, or automation-related electrical systems
- Experience developing electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of material
- Knowledge of NEC and industrial electrical design standards
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel approximately 20-25% including occasional overnight travel
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
