Job Summary
Represent the firm in client, contractor, and project team interactions while creating basic designs under supervision to develop specifications, system narratives, and layouts. Establish design standards and criteria, supervise report preparation and system analysis, and maintain interdisciplinary coordination with other trades and consultants. Monitor correspondence between staff, clients, and owners, and oversee construction administrative duties including field reports, RFIs, and addenda processing. Participate in the Technical Leadership Committee and assist in technical training and staff mentoring. Requires a PE registration, 8+ years of consulting experience, and hands-on CAD/REVIT skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an Accredited Institution
- 8+ years' experience working in a consulting firm
- background in the MEP Engineering Industry
- Healthcare design experience - both inpatient and outpatient
- Hands-on design and CAD/REVIT experience
- PE required
Desired Qualifications
- Additional experience in Federal, Critical Facilities, Commercial, Aviation, or other complex building types
- Project management skills, includes managing an internal design team
