Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer at Genesis AEC responsible for facility-level electrical design and engineering for medium-voltage and low-voltage systems (35kV and below), including power distribution, emergency generators, UPS, lighting controls, fire alarm systems, and motor controls; leading a team of engineers and designers; managing project scope and budgets from conception through operation; conducting infrastructure assessments and master planning; performing electrical calculations (load, short circuit, arc flash) and creating specifications, reviewing submittals, and responding to RFIs; coordinating with other disciplines, client representatives, and contractors; and supporting business development and proposal activities. A focus on pharmaceutical, biotech, life-science, and laboratory environments is preferred, with potential P.E. registration and leadership in-house training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
- 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical design and engineering
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) designation
- Proficiency in SKM PowerTools software, MS Office, and Adobe Professional
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple projects, and adjust work against tight deadlines
