Job Summary
Design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded firmware development. Create sensing and motion systems from scratch when off-the-shelf options are unsuitable, applying a scientific approach to engineering problems through experimentation and data analysis. Own system-level architecture and mentor other engineers while supporting designs throughout the product lifecycle from early research to debugging field failures. This role requires a minimum of three years of experience designing production-ready electronics and proficiency in bare-metal microcontroller firmware, embedded Linux, and Python tooling. Full-time employees receive equity in the form of RSUs, with a base pay range of $115,000 to $160,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience designing production-ready electronics
- Can share a portfolio that demonstrates skills and experience
- Are able to support design choices with data
- Are comfortable with code as well as with circuits
- Are hands-on and interested in supporting designs throughout the product lifecycle, from early research to debugging field failures
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with line-voltage or high-power electronics
- Experience with signal processing and/or digital feedback control systems
- Experience debugging signal integrity and EMC issues
