Job Summary
Lead the discipline design team to produce construction documents for civic, education, federal, naval, and commercial projects in Hawaii and the Pacific Islands while coordinating with MEP, architectural, and structural disciplines. Execute complex electrical designs, including fault current studies, arc flash analysis, and coordination, applying NEC, IBC, and IECC code requirements. Manage project direction from front-end loading through schematic and design development phases, interface with utility providers, and resolve site installation problems. Provide mentorship to peers, conduct QAQC reviews, and develop internal standards and lessons learned. This role requires a Registered P.E. with 7+ years of experience and proficiency in REVIT MEP.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience in electrical MEP design (Federal, Military, Naval, Aviation or commercial buildings)
- Thorough knowledge of NEC and building codes
- AutoCAD and REVIT MEP proficient
- REVIT Experience is required
- BS Architectural Engineering, or BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree
- Registered P.E. is required
- In this role, you will be a part of the (Civic, Education, Federal, Naval, Transit or commercial buildings) in Hawaii and the Pacific Islands
- This position can be based in Hawaii with travel to client and site visits in Guam
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in using SKM Power Tools or similar software for engineering calculations preferred (Fault Current Studies, Coordination Studies, Arc Fault Studies, photometric analysis)
- Experience using construction cost estimating software (Cost-works) preferred
